Sad day for Maastricht-Aachen Airport. This morning the based crew has been informed that as of March 2014 the base will be closed. Until now, these are routes are still bookable: Alicante, Bari, Faro, Porto, Palma de Mallroca , Girona and Trapani. All other routes will probably be cancelled ...

Tomorrow press conference at Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Probably the anouncement of the next base, in direct competition with Wizz. That would be the second Lithuanian base, next to Kaunas (2 based B737-800)

Rumours about Palma de Mallorca becoming the next base becoming stronger and stronger, according to this site Ryanair wants to increase their flight operations in Mallorca with 41% and base 3 Boeing 737-800 at the airport.

The negotiations between the airports and Ryanair are still going, but soon a decision will be taken. Until then, no routes for the summer season is bookable.
