It's totaly up to you, but my advice is to book just your flights and no extra's. You can add that to your booking anytime. Wait also with booking other things like more transport or hotel rooms until you are content with the prospects about canceling your flight.

I think this new rule must be read a little different. When you have a small extra bag AND the normal approved cabin bag AND no priority boarding booked, THEN you must put your bigger bag in the hold.

Without priority boarding only the 2nd bag is allowed in the cabin. The first one must be 'handed over' at the boarding. They also dropped the 15Kg checked bag, but lowered the price of the now ...
