PUY: Pula Airport (Croatia)

Post by FRequent Flyer » 02 Aug 2016, 16:04

Pula Airport (IATA: PUY, ICAO: LDPL) is the international airport serving Pula, Croatia, and is located 6 km from the city centre. It served 359,426 passengers in 2015.

My advice:
-When you get past customs, there is one duty free shop (which, for someone like me who just wanted a bag of sweets, is rather expensive) and it takes Euros and Kunas, which is pretty handy! There's also a small shop selling rolls, ice cream and crisps, and several clothes shops. Past that, there's nothing. My advice is to bring your own sweets.
-I travelled in the summer season, when there would be a lot, and I mean a lot, of German, English and Scandinavian tourists. If you're travelling in the high season (Late June to Late August), I'd recommend you get there slightly earlier, as the queues are quite long sometimes.
-Customs and security is quite small, basically only two machines, but is comfy to get through.

Are the security queues still disjointed?
It was when I was there in 2012.

The two machines are parallel to each other, if that's what you mean?
