2 routes in total including Tenerife (1 weekly)
43,000 customers p.a.
Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Robin Kiely said:

Customers can look forward to even lower fares when they make advance bookings for summer 2017. Seats on our new route to Faro are on sale now from just £24.99, which are available for booking until Monday (26 Sep). Since these amazing low prices will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto http://www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
Cardiff Airport’s Chairman, Roger Lewis Said:
“It is fantastic to see Ryanair increase its routes and flights at Cardiff Airport. Our customers now have even more choice to travel to what is an extremely popular destination.
Ryanair is responding to the demands of Welsh passengers by adding another essential route to its network. It is vital that our customers are offered a wide variety of choice when it comes holiday destinations. We look forward to another successful summer season next year and continued success for Ryanair at Cardiff Airport.”

Great news. Should be very popular as when I flew the Bristol to Faro route there were many Welsh people, including myself, For those who come from further West in Wales it would be so much easier rather than going to Bristol

They must have an amazing route-scheduling team to think about all of these so convenient routes.
I don't know how they do it to select best routes...
It must be interesting though.

It would be an interesting job. Prehaps they send market researchers to airports, but I would highly doubt it.
