Luxembourg and Hahn '"Trierische Volksfreund"
Rumours suggest that Ryanair have plans to relocate next winter to Luxembourg and scale back the Hahn operation, could it be true some deny some say it's true.
According to the regional German newspaper "Trierische Volksfreund" in its Monday edition, Markus Bunk, manager of Hahn Airport, stated that Ryanair will relocate from Hahn Airport to Luxembourg. He added that this will mean a significant decline to passenger traffic to the German airport.
If proved to be true, the news will confirms rumours that have been circulating for some considerable time following known negotiations between Frankfurt Hahn and Lux-Airport.

Re: Luxembourg and Hahn '"Trierische Volksfreund"
Talking about Luxembourg, its there where Ryanair's subsidiary buys the planes from Boeing.
Ryanair doesn't buy the A/C directly.
Read this article (very interesting, it explains how FR buys its A/C): http://www.luchtzak.be/airlines/fiscal- ... uxembourg/
Anyway a base in LUX would make sense for Luxembourg people, but it is so close to other currently operating airports...

Prehaps a subsidary could be on the cards to avoid the tax? who knows. A bit like what Norwegian are doing with Irish and British AOC`s
It would be silly to move completly from Hahn to Luxembourg I don`t think they could claim it as Frankfurt Luxembourg.

It might become Brussels L - for Brussels (LUX)

Btw, notice how they stopped to write the real airport, like before it was:
Milan Bergamo, Rome Ciampino, Brussels Charleroi.
NOW:
Milan B, Rome C, Brussels C.
I don't see why they've done that.

Re: Luxembourg and Hahn '"Trierische Volksfreund"
I wanted more routes at Tampere as I want to go there. I think they cut routes due to shortage of aircraft and always say the same, we will be back with more routes soon. But it seems to never happen. Look at Maastricht in 2013 Ryanair abandoned the base and said they wanted to restart it but it has not come yet.
And now Maastricht lost routes to Dublin, Stansted and some Itallin desinations, I forget which.

Maastricht - Bari is gone.
They used to fly on 3,7 Wednesday and Sunday.
And was very cheap.
